there was a small wooded area on the side of ocean air apartments that we as kids played in. this area went out to old ocean view rd. my family klived at 541A chester st. until i was 16 then we moved up town to warren crescest for a year. at that point 3 of us got married and my mom and dad and sister frances moved back to ocean air and lived on old ocean view rd till my dad died in 1981. my sisters and brother still live in the norfolk area . we were the richardson family and my mom worked in the schools for years. hopr this brings back some memories.

but I remember venturing into the Oceanair area as a young boy possibly in the mid sixties. I remember the area where some Warrick Ave apts are now as being an incenerary with mounds of dirt and ash around it. I also remember an air raid siren and tower there, ocassionally we would be around it when they tested it. I remember thinking the russians are coming.
