The good old days...Date: Tuesday, July 24, 2001 12:14 AM     From: rjones@pinn.net

I have some very fine pictures which I frame, captured from the two movies that were filmed at the Park. I am currently editing a 1gb video capture of the Skyrocket, being rode by Martin Landau.

I'm still here in Norfolk, Southern Shopping Center area. I attended Bowling Park Elementary. My family moved to the Norview area and I graduated class of '84.

I remember the Fireworks every Saturday night.

- remember the rough turn around as the ride headed back to the park?

How about that lady
who buried herself alive?

The Serpentarium with all those gators piled on top of each other?

The Tilt-a-Whirl was my first "big" ride that I rode!

Night Dippin'!The first time I rode Skyrocket I thought it was going to wreck!
That was sure part of the fun of it!

When I was in Norview Jr. High,
I built a scaled down model of the Skyrocket.

The Park has always mystified me. I hated to see it being torn down.

Ferris Day off!The Lion's Club sold small wood pieces of the Skyrocket along with a nice Pin commemorating OVP. I wish I still had my piece of wood from the coaster. Big Mistake - Tearing the Park down. We lost a historic place.

Your Web Site is perfect!
I had no trouble at all with navigating my way around.

The Fun House with that laughing lady and devil really scared me when I was little. I was very surprised to find the laughing lady wav file!
Very Cool!!! 2 thumbs UP!!!
Do you have any other sounds from the Park?

These images are from the "Death of..." movie.
It really gives perspective when I look at the land now.
